Given my numerous interviews on the topic, we’ve had quite a bit of attention on social media about chlorine dioxide.

My social media manager put together a list of the most common questions and asked me to help him know how to respond.

PREAMBLE TO ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS BELOW

The major contribution of chlorine dioxide to biology is its ability to purify water. Chlorine dioxide is sold on Amazon and elsewhere as “water purification drops” and its ability to purify water is undisputed. Given that the human body contains a large volume of water, many see the logic of using a diluted form of the chlorine dioxide to help purify the water inside the human body.

Because chlorine dioxide can help dissolve chemicals (e.g. glyphosate), block the ability of heavy metal to bind to other substances, and be a form of “combustion” against microbial overgrowth, chlorine dioxide was labeled as “The Universal Antidote” by NASA. For anyone willing to look into the topic, the evidence that chlorine dioxide can assist the body with healing is overwhelming.

The reason it has profound implications for health is simple: Is there any situation in which a less toxic body has a downside?

But, how does one deploy this tool effectively?

To experience the benefits of chlorine dioxide, i.e. it’s potential to help the human body purify and heal, it is first important to understand some basic physiology so we can deploy chlorine dioxide in its proper place within a holistic healing strategy.

To do so, we must first shake off the conditioning we have been immersed in within Western culture. The pharmaceutical model (i.e. the biochemical model of health) is a method of looking for a silver bullet chemical as the (patentable) remedy for healing. “A pill for every ill,” is a way of expressing the misguided belief that there is a specific chemical solution to every specific health scenario. That model, in the form of pharmaceuticals, leads to all sorts of side effects, and when it is applied to chlorine dioxide it can lead to all sorts of misapplications, or “cart before the horse” applications. Chlorine dioxide is not a silver bullet, but it is a simple intervention that can profoundly assist the body in healing when used properly.

Those who ask, “Could chlorine dioxide help with XYZ health condition?” are asking a fair question, but are missing the question that comes before that.

The important question is “how does the body eliminate toxins and rebalance itself.”

Chlorine dioxide can help liberate toxins from our tissues and put overgrown microbes in check, but if those dissolved toxins or dead microbes are not able to leave the body, healing will prove elusive and the individual may even feel worse, though usually only temporarily.

Two side effects people may experience with chlorine dioxide are nausea and/or diarrhea. This is so because, as the body purifies itself, it needs to get the dissolved toxins/microbes to the exits, often quickly. If you’ve ever had food poisoning, you know how aggressively the body can purge poison when it needs to.

However, aggressive purging comes with a biological tax. Even in a relatively healthy person, that purging process, while necessary, is still a stressful event. How much more might it be so for someone in poor health?

Besides being unpleasant, aggressive detoxification by the body also requires biological resources, namely water, minerals, and energy. If those are not abundant/replenished, important steps in the healing process are being skipped and the strategy is not as likely to lead to the desired healing.

Where does chlorine dioxide fit within a holistic framework?

The important principle in natural healing is to work WITH the body’s system, not attempt to “hack” the body or override it with chemical interventions. That is one of the reasons we rarely deploy chlorine dioxide as the first step in a healing strategy. Instead, we focus on ensuring that the body is deeply nourished with food and water, AND that the purging systems of the body, namely the gut/bowel, sinuses, bladder, and skin are primed for healing.

If the above “priming” steps are skipped, then chlorine dioxide’s potential to assist in healing can be greatly diminished, and can sometimes make people feel worse. This often leads people to say “I tried chlorine dioxide, and it didn’t work.” It would likely be more accurate to say that he or she deployed chlorine dioxide as a silver bullet, or deployed it “out of order” and missed what it can do for them.

Chlorine dioxide is "disease agnostic." It’s not a remedy for a specific health condition. It is a world-class purification agent that, when used holistically, can impact a wide range of seemingly different health conditions. Why? Because a less toxic body functions better. However, chlorine dioxide can only do its part if the individual also does his or her part by setting the body up for success.

CHLORINE DIOXIDE Q&A

NOTHING BELOW IS PERSONAL HEALTH ADVICE

1. I’m dealing with multiple health issues, including a severely compromised liver. Is chlorine dioxide safe for someone in my condition? Yes, if used as part of a holistic strategy.

2. What are the potential long-term effects of chlorine dioxide on the body? Inside a holistic strategy, this is akin to asking if there are any long-term effects of drinking clean water.

3. Does chlorine dioxide have any role in managing Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes? It has the role of helping the body stay clean, so the systems of the body are not bogged down with toxins and, thus, the management of blood sugar (or healing of the pancreas) does not have to take a back seat to more pressing biological functions.

4. Is there a specific form or brand of chlorine dioxide that you recommend? We purchase the raw ingredients to make chlorine dioxide from a company called Oneness.

5. How is chlorine dioxide used in cases of breast cancer? There are many ways to use chlorine dioxide: Orally, rectally, and topically. What is best for an individual depends on many factors, including where they are on a healing journey and what other interventions they have undergone.

6. Can chlorine dioxide help with arthritis and osteoarthritis? In its proper role, yes. Toxins often accumulate in the connective tissue. As the body cleans and heals itself, it can eventually get to the task of cleaning out the toxins causing pain in the joints, and with less toxic burden (and the right nourishment), the body can more effectively produce the synovial fluid that lubricates the joints, thus diminishing pain.

7. What are the proper dosages and protocols for using chlorine dioxide safely? That is a question that is impossible to answer in a vacuum of no personal information about an individual.

8. How should it be taken for digestive issues? We recommend addressing digestive issues via other methods before proceeding to chlorine dioxide. The exception would be for emergency purposes, but even then, it is deployed on a case-by-case basis.

9. Does it have any effect on chronic streptococcus infections? It can have an impact on all types of infections, including MRSA (see my interview with Mark Grenon), but it is important to remember that while chlorine dioxide can help the body purify itself, it does nothing to help nourish the body. Putting infections in check involves more than purification.

10. Can chlorine dioxide help the body process or detox from COVID vaccines? Yes. It has been shown to dissolve spike proteins, along with many other toxins. See my interview with Andreas Kalcker for more information.

11. Could it improve chronic asthma symptoms? Indirectly, yes. Asthma is a symptom of mainly fat-soluble toxins being eliminated via the lungs (see the ingredients in most commercial ice creams as one example of fat-soluble toxins). As the water in the body is purified, fewer and fewer toxins are transported via fat and the body is less likely to experience asthma.

12. Why is it labeled as fatal if consumed orally, and how should we understand claims made on the internet about chlorine dioxide? Its use as a water-purification agent for camping and backpacking makes the “fatal” claim silly. If you can drink water at a campsite that has been purified with CD, why would it be dangerous to drink water from your kitchen that has been purified with CD? Anything (including water) can be harmful if one consumes too much. Thus, learning how to use it is important.

Chlorine dioxide has been vilified by the medical/pharmaceutical establishment via media hit pieces because it challenges the necessity for a wide variety of pharmaceuticals and medical interventions. Chlorine dioxide costs about 1 penny per “dose” and challenges large money-making institutions.

13. I’ve used it for more than two weeks, but my Type 1 diabetes hasn’t changed. How should this be interpreted? There are likely other steps that are being skipped, and, in my experience, healing such a condition would be about a 1-2-year timeline depending on the amount of health debt a person has, how holistic their strategy is, and their level of consistency in practicing good health habits.

14. Can chlorine dioxide be used safely for a child with eczema? It can, but starting small and progressing based on the child’s symptoms is important. If a child’s bowels are not functioning well, we would not recommend proceeding to CD yet.

15. Does it help remove spike proteins from the COVID vaccine? Yes, as part of a holistic health strategy. See question #10 above.

16. What about its use in addressing tumors? We believe tumors to be pockets of toxins surrounded by cells as a last-ditch effort to protect a person. To heal tumors requires a holistic strategy, highly efficient bowels, deep nutrition, and possibly the use of other time-tested solvents to break down and eliminate what the body has not been able to purge.

17. Could chlorine dioxide be helpful for autoimmune conditions? Yes. But again, we generally do not use this as a first step in the healing process. CD works best when the diet has been cleaned up, and the body’s purging systems (especially the gut) have been primed for healing.
